My name is Allison Pfister and I am originally from Page, Arizona, better known as Lake Powell. I moved to Utah when I began my college education at Dixie College in St. George. I graduated from Dixie with my Associate’s Degree in Fine Arts then went on to study elementary education at Southern Utah University, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree. I also have my STEM endorsement and a secondary teaching licence for ELA. I have been a teacher for 19 years, this year is the beginning of my 20th year, and have taught second, fifth, and sixth grade, as well as ELA, Health, Creative Writing, and Debate. I love teaching ELA in a junior high setting at Quest!

I really love singing and the theater, I spent lots of time from middle school through college singing and performing. Some of my favorite roles were Ado Annie in Oklahoma, my senior year of high school, and Frenchie in Grease at the Terrace Plaza Playhouse.

Reading novels in my free time is one of my favorite things, my favorite series being the Selection Series. I also like to eat almost every kind of food, especially hamburgers, but I really dislike raw onions. Café Rio and In N’ Out are my favorite restaurants, favorite color is bright blue, favorite movies are Pitch Perfect and Nacho Libre, favorite treat is frozen yogurt, and favorite season is summer, I hate being cold. I love going to movies, plays, and musicals!

I also love to travel! I have traveled to Montana, Arizona, and Hawaii with my family several times, we have families that live in each of these locations, and to the east coast with students from Quest Academy, where we visited Boston, NYC, Philly, and Washington D.C. A few summers ago, I traveled to Europe with my daughter. We visited Germany, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and France. I have also been to Mount Rushmore, Myrtle Beach, and California. I would really love to travel to Europe again, but this time to see Italy.

My husband’s name is Jason, he works at Hill Air Force Base, we have been married for 23 years. We have two children, Cassidy and Zack. My daughter, Cassidy, is 20 years old and is a senior at Weber State University. She also got married this summer, so now I have a son-in-law, Nathan, 23, who is also a Weber State student. My son, Zack, is 17 years old and is a senior at Roy High School. Together we enjoy watching movies, eating out, hiking, bike riding, traveling, and hanging out in our backyard.
