We have been hard at work learning our 2nd Grade High Frequency Words. We need to know how to read, write and spell them. I have a few wonderful parents who work with them each week, reading and practicing these words. We have recently assessed their progress and I am sending home the list with highlighted words that still need practice on an individual basis. I suggest that you take these highlighted words and put them on index cards, creating flash cards for them to practice. All the extra practice these kiddos get is so beneficial in their preparation for their upcoming year in 3rd Grade! Some students will not have a list sent home because they have passed off all of the words…way to go! Most lists will be sent home in students’ homework notebooks, if they turned them in today.
