Happy “No Homework” Week!

5/19-5/23

R-Read a thon Day. Bring a book and a pillow and get ready to read.

S- Science Experiments! Get ready for some science fun!

T-Thankful Day. We will write a letter to the 1st graders why we were Thankful for 2nd grade.

U- USA Day. Students with a last name A-H wear Red, I-P wear White and Q-Z wear Blue shirts.  We will have prizes who participate.

V-Video Day. We will watch a video. Bring a pillow to cuddle with.

 

Our class was selected to be a part of the talent show on Friday! We are going to play our recorders that we have been working so hard on! We were very blessed to have Mrs Jones teach us music ALL YEAR LONG! Thank you so much Mrs Jones. We owe our recorder talent to you!

Anyone is welcome to attend the talent show. It is Friday, May 23 at 9:30am in the Q1 Gym.

On Friday we had a student from our class that got a head injury during recess. All of us were very concerned, and your kids were very worried and scared. I have since seen and talked to mom and dad and he is doing ok. I just wanted to help ease the minds of all my students. We are glad he is doing better.

Tomorrow is the Carnival! 

I will be at the “Pie throwing” game, come throw a pie at me!! I will be there 6:45-7:15…I would love for you to get in on the action, (I know you guys will be nice to me)

Today was “P” Day! We did baby pictures and had a picnic outside at lunchtime! Baby picture day is one of my favorites! I love seeing their cute, chubby little smiles. Thank you so much for sharing!! I saved most of the pictures, and handed them back to them at the end of the day. If you are looking for it, check with them. I stressed the importance of keeping them nice and not shoving them in their backpacks. thanks Again for you participation in this fun activity!

We get to have Read-a-thon on Monday for “R” Day! Students get to bring a pillow, a small blanket and some books to read! Only 9 more days of school left!!
