I have added this weeks homework to the “Homework” tab. I have changed when Homework Notebooks will be handed out and returned to me so that you will be able to record weekend reading minutes. I ask that Homework Notebooks be turned in to me on Friday mornings, I will then send it back home with your child on Friday afternoon. Every Monday I will post an additional list of 5 spelling words (2nd Grade high frequency words), that they need to be able to read/use in a sentence/spell by the end of the school week.      

We will be doing a fun journal writing book this year titled “Letters Home”. Your child will write a letter to you every Friday in their notebook, and bring it home. Please read what they have written and write a small note back to them. When they return their book on Monday, with a parent response to their letter, they will receive a sticker on the front cover! This will be a fun writing activity to help keep you up to date on what we are doing each week in class. Watch for the notebook to come home today! Thanks and have a great weekend!
