Banana Sorts test

Some of my Banana (yellow) sorts students took the wrong sorts test on Friday. I will re-administer the right yellow sort test 15 tomorrow, and send it home tomorrow as well so you know which sort your child should be working on this week! Sorry about any confusion!

Grades!

Please check your child’s grades periodically to monitor progress. If there are any questions you may want me to address regarding grades, please contact me. I am more than happy to discuss ways that your child may improve in specific areas. Parent teacher conferences are coming up Oct 15-17 and I want you to be completely aware of how your child is doing in school. I look forward to meeting with all my students’ wonderful families! I will post parent teacher conference sign-up sheets soon. Here is the link for our online grading access system. The SIS system allows you to log in and see your child’s grades as well as any missing work. https://quest.usoe-dcs.org/Login.aspx Login information was given out at back to school night. Exciting visitor on October 2!

We are learning all about plants this month in science. Since we have been talking about flowers and the process of bees pollinating them, we have been able to arrange for a local bee keeper (my DAD!) to come show us a live, clear observation (completely sealed!) observation box. This will be a fun experience for the kids to see the bees in action. Please let me know if your child is allergic to bees, and as an extra precaution would like me to arrange for your child to be in another class during the visit. The bees are completely sealed in and I have been assured that it is safe for classroom observation. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
