Week of January 7-11, 2019

Happy New Year! I will like to make a blog post weekly letting you know of the schedule, and anything that is new so look for that either Sunday night, or Monday morning. This week we are going to be renovating a few things in our folders. We are going to be changing the baggies into rings, so if one day this week your child doesn’t come home with a baggie of sight words that means we are in the process of changing them!

Here is a list of some things that you can be working on at home in addition to the things in your folder.
Language Arts:
1.       Identify all uppercase and lowercase letters and sounds

2.      Read all 20 Sight words: I, can, the, we, see, a, like, to, and, go, you, do, my, are, he, with, is, little, she, was
3.      Write first and last name
4.      Tell how many syllables are in a variety of words
5.      When given a word they can say a word that rhymes with that given word
6.      When given a three-letter word, they can identify each sound in a three-letter word
7.      They can identify the first sound in a variety of words

Math:
1.      Count to 100
2.      Write to 20
3.       Add and subtract with numbers less than five where the solution is less that 10

We are still working on getting the subscription list to work so you are able to subscribe to my blog, I have a few people helping me get that squared away. I will let you know as soon as it is fixed. Thank you for your patience. Also, thank you for all that you do. You have amazing kiddos, and it has been fun to watch them learn.
