Homework January 20-23

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a relaxing fun 4 days off! We are in new spelling word group starting this week. Some of the students will have a review sort and some will be in a whole new group. This is based on how they did in the placement spelling inventory that we took recently. Please make sure that the kids are practicing not just the words in the sort but also words that follow the pattern because some of the sorts seem easy but the pattern is what they need to know. Try helping them think of some harder words that have the same spelling pattern. This will be a new added element to their spelling test. They will also need to practice our “Read, Write, Spell” words for the week. I will post those with the sorts each week. Also, please check which group your student is in as several kids changed groups! Celebrate the success!
