Field Trip and Other Stuff

Parents, if by chance you were chosen to come on the field trip and your availability changes please let me know ASAP so that I can invite another parent to come! Also, we are lacking in field trip funds as only 4 students have donated any money toward the field trip. If you are at all able to donate the $5 for the field trip that would be greatly appreciated! The bus costs a lot of money! Thanks for those who have already donated!

Next, we have some kids who on a daily basis come down the hall and are continuously arguing with teachers and staff about being sent outside, they will leave then they come back in. The policy on before school is that the school will open at 8:00 am and the kids need to go out back to the playground until teachers come and get them. On extremely cold days students will be kept in the lunch room until teachers are ready. If students do no want to go outside they are welcome to stay in the library and read in the morning but they must be reading silently and following all library rules. I have discussed this issue with the class and I reminded them of the expectation. Please remind your students when you drop them off, to head out back. Only students with previous permission from their teacher should come down the hall. All backpacks and lunch boxes need to go outside with them. They can bring them to class when they get picked up. Thanks for reminding your students about this when you drop them off.

Also, remember that we are back to homework and it needs to be submitted on my blog on Thursday night or Friday morning.

Finally, we are holding class elections this Friday. Students who are choosing to run for President, Vice President and Treasurer will prepare a 1 minute speech on why they would be the best for the job. They will give these speeches tomorrow. Then we will do preliminary voting. Friday will be the final election. Good luck to all students running!

Thanks for sharing your kiddos with me!
