Week of October 19th-22nd

I Hope everyone had a fabulous long weekend!

This week is short (Our field trip is Thursday and there is no school for students on Friday) so we will not be having spelling words. We will work on some word work at school but no sorts. For homework please read 20 minutes each night then go on Front Row Ed and do an assignment each night. On Front Row Ed please go to Math, Geometry, Adaptive practice. Also one session of Fact Fluency. This is designed to help with skills that might be missing that are helpful for understand on grade level concepts. This week we are working to finish up our Geometry unit which covers, Lines, Angles, Triangles and Quadrilaterals, as well as lines of symmetry. We will get to do some art with our math to help connect the concepts.

Next, our field trip is this Thursday. I am so excited to see everyone is coming and how many of our fabulous parents are going to be joining us! Please remember that parents who are coming need to pay the office for their admission $3 ASAP and if you are willing to help with a $5 student donation we greatly appreciate it!

SEP (Student Education Plan) meetings are coming up next week (Thursday, October 29th) please let me know if you would like to meet with me to discuss the progress of yours student. If I don’t meet with you I will send home a progress report for your student. Please review it with your student, set a goal, sign it and send it back.

Finally, our class has been practicing Halloween Readers Theaters (Plays that the students read rather than memorize) to perform next week on Wednesday and Thursday. Parents are welcome to come watch their student perform if you would like. I will post the schedule once final prep has been taken care of this week. If you are not able to make it no worries. I will record it and share it with you.

I greatly appreciate the support we have as a class and as always please let me know if there is something that I can do to help your student.
