I introduced the class to two new things today! They were very excited about both of these sites!
First: Prodigy is a game that is highly engaging for the students and it reinforces Math concepts while they play. They may log in on the link to the right and then start playing. This may be used as a substitution for FrontRowEd.com. The sites accomplish different things so working from both is great if you would like. Here are the log ins for the students:
Second: We started Google Classrooms today and the students recieved their own email addresses. These email addresses are linked directly to my classroom page and is to be used only for submitting homework and participation in collaborative projects. I take digital citizenship (our kids existing in the digital world) very seriously and hope that they learn to love it so that they are ready for tomorrows world! We will be doing more with both of these programs over the rest of the year!
Finally, football has been causing issues with getting physical on the playground so football is lost for the rest of the week. They may bring footballs again next Monday.
I have SEP forms sitting here on my desk and I forgot to send them home so please look for them tomorrow.
Have a great night!
