Classroom Update

Just a quick update from our class… I love 4th grade because it seems that until Christmas the kids make good growth academically and socially then after Christmas break they tend to come back with a more mature attitude and grasp things so quickly that our learning increases even more! I have seen this again this year! What awesome growth our kids have made! One side effect of them being more mature is our students seem to think that they are now old enough to be “going out” or “dating”. There has been some relationship talk happening at recess and we had a class discussion of how this makes some students feel uncomfortable and that relationships are not an appropriate 4th grade school topic. Please talk to your students to reinforce this subject at home. We come to school to learn and improve and it is everyone’s job to not effect someone else’s ability to feel safe and happy at school. I appreciate your support and please let me know if there is ever something that I can do to help your student more with this or anything else!
