Wednesday Homework (and other stuff)

For math homework today please have your student show you how to do “126 divided by 9”. They can use a picture, standard algorithm (the way we learned it growing up), or the “Big 7” method.  We are exploring multiple ways to divide and I would like them to find a couple methods that will work for them on a regular basis!

Next, we had a lock down drill today and the kids handled it very well. Talking with them about this might be a good idea.

Finally, we have had some real issues with kids using the hands, feet and objects (jackets and lunch box) to hit, kick or otherwise bother or hurt other students. These issues are all being managed with each individual student however I invited Mr. Tippetts (The assistant principal) in to talk to the class about what happens when students choose too continuously have issues with these things. He also covered that it is not okay to  call others names or use inappropriate language. Most of the class are doing a great job with this and I appreciate those who always follow the expectations. Please follow through with this at home as our kids are trying to figure these things out.

As always, thanks for your support and for sharing your kids with me!
