Homework October 5-9

There is a change to math homework this week. Please read through and let me know if you have any questions. 

Red Sort 

Alex, Josie, Elias
Green sort
Chace, Ace, Dawson
Blue sort
Conner, Max, Gabriel, Brody, Troy, Hunter, Kaylee J, Ashlynn, Jaiden, Bella, Noah, Markus, Colin, Lorelei, Lexie
Yellow sort
Kaylee M, Rowdy, Sebastian, Daniel

Spelling-Nightly Word Sort Practice
Monday: cut and sort words then write them down on a paper. (If you don’t have a printer available then just write the words on a paper and cut them apart)
Tuesday: Speed sort (Sort words as fast as possible and record time of three separate timings.
Wednesday: ABC sort (Normal sort, then alphabetize the words in each column and write them on a paper.)
Thursday: Glue Sort (Sort the words and then glue them to a paper in their columns.)

Math
Practice one session of Front Row Ed Fact Practice each night plus one “Assigned Practice” as listed below. (The assigned practice is new this week. The kids have been practicing this at school for a couple weeks so should know how to do this.) The class code is hl2c5z

Monday: Front Row Ed- Math- Base 10- Assigned Practice – Level 22. 
Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday: Front Row Ed -Math-Geometry- Assigned Practice – Level 15.

Reading-Read 20 minutes daily, 5 days per week for full credit

Please report on Thursday night or Friday morning on the Homework submission form on the class blog if you do paper copy or nightly on the electronic form if you do electronic homework.

I am so excited to be joining Quest Academy and the 4th grade team! I have been teaching for 6 years and love my job! I earned my Bachelors in Elementary Education and Special Education from Weber State in 2008 and my Masters in Learning and Technology from WGU in 2012! I love teaching all subjects but Math is my favorite! I have 3 awesome kids (Macey 8, Mack 6 and Laker 4) and have been married to my amazing husband, Shaun, for 11 years! In my free time I love to travel, blog, and watch sports. We are die hard Utes and Lakers fans! We also love all things Disney and love to visit Disneyland as often as possible!
