<Inferring has TWO meanings!
Good readers INFER while they read to figure out what happens next, it is a smart guess that they make using clues from the story and their SCHEMA to figure out the answer~ You can also INFER the meaning of a word. This happens to all of us, when we are reading a chapter book or an informational book we come to a word that we do not know the meaning of…what do we do? Hopefully we do not skip the word, we INFER what it means… When we do that we use our schema, look at the pictures if there are any, we reread the sentence and look for clues in the text. After doing those things, we should then come up with a good answer to the meaning of the word. We have been using these strategies in class this week!
Example: We read the book:
and Inferred some Hawaii’n words that were in the text! The kids had a blast!
We also read, 
and we all inferred a new ending to the story! I had the children leave a comment for you to read!

today we read the story Fly Away Home. I infer that the kid and his da are going to get a house the kid will go to school the dad will find a better job and get paid more.They will find a better life ahead like the bird they will leave the airport.They will take those other people to go live with them the other people will get a job and get a house.They will live better
Today we read Fly Away Home.I infer the boy will go to school,the dad will get a job,and they will find a house and probably let the madina family move in with them and make enof money to buy a bed or two.And some food.:)
Today we read the story “Fly Away Home”.I infer that the dad will find a
home and only has to pay 25 cents a week.I also infer that he will find
a new job and gets $300.00 on payday.They will let the Madimas move in too.
Andrew and Danny will share a room and the rest will have their own room.

Today i read the story Fly Away Home. i infer that Anderw and his dad safed up and lived back into hotel and Anderw went to school and the dad foud a other jod to decome a pilit and they took medins and Anderw and his friend went to school together.

Andrew will problably make lots of friends and go to school.
TODAY WE READ THE STORY FLY AWAY HOME. I INFER THAT THE DAD’S GONNA FIND A JOB. I THINK THE JOB HE FIND’S IS WORKING FOR CONSTRUCTION.

and go to Holly wood and the kid finliy goas to school and learend some stuff
