TUESDAY MAY 5TH
NO KINDERGARTEN TODAY DUE TO TESTING THIS WEEK!

This week, May 4-8, will be our kindergarten assessment week.  Each child will attend (via Zoom) a 30 minute appointment. This assessment will provide us data on student growth and mastery for the school year in reading and math.  This assessment is a Quest Kindergarten assessment, NOT a state or national test.

Students will need their ten frames white board, dry erase marker and eraser, and 9 math counters.

Kindergarten students will not have regular lessons this week. If you choose, they may access iReady and Raz Kids. Students will be marked present for the week by attending their scheduled assessment appointment.

May 4th (Mon.) through May 8th (Fri.), we will NOT be having Online School (No Zoom lessons and Razkids & iReady are optional). Instead, we will be giving each individual student a test (not a State test just a end of term test) to help us better assess where your child is academically.  We will be doing the test through appointments on Zoom. I need ALL students to schedule one appointment with either myself (Mrs. Hill) or Mrs. Roper.  As soon as possible, please schedule a time that works best for you to log your student into Zoom for testing.  If you don’t see an appointment that will work for your student, please contact me (chill@questac.org) and I will arrange a time that works best for you. Don’t forget to put your child’s name in the comment field.  Kindergarten Testing Sign Up

Important Reminders:  DO NOT HELP YOUR CHILD AT ALL DURING THIS TEST. Parents please have your child in a silent room. Bring to the appointment a whiteboard and marker, ten frame card, and 10 items of the same kind (math counters).

Hello, Quest Families!

We are so excited for our first VIRTUAL talent show–RAMS GOT TALENT!!! Click here to access the virtual talent show website (Thanks for creating it, Jen Jones!). The talent show will be available to watch the week of May 18th! All video submissions are due May 8th, so get out your phones and start recording your talented kiddos (please ensure recordings are less than 5 minutes)! Though you’ll be able to upload videos from your computer, you might find it a bit easier to do so from your phone. I’ve provided a short recording to show you how to do this. RAMS GOT TALENT is for ALL Quest students, so we expect to see submissions from kindergarteners, 9th graders, and EVERY grade in between! See you on the virtual stage!
