Election Day in Kindergarten

We had a lot of fun today in Kindergarten! We learned about election day. We talked about why we vote and how important it is to vote. We talked a little bit about debating and even had a few debates about what food is our favorite, what pet would be best, and which insect is better. Then we held our very own presidential election.

PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION IN KINDERGARTEN!!! – LET’S VOTE!

KINDERGARTEN PRESIDENTIAL RESULTS

*** DISCLAIMER*** We did not debate or discuss any opinions of our two candidates. Results are purely those of our kindergartens and this was a great learning experience. We were even able to talk about “write in” votes. We had one kindergartener who did not want to vote for either of them, they wanted to vote for George Washington. I thought it was wonderful. Close race!!

I VOTED!!!!!

Kindergarten

We are starting Unit 3 in our Wonders Program. Here are some things we will be learning and working on for the next 3 weeks. Also, keep practicing those ABC flash cards (if your student has been given some), sight word cards, and reading on Razkids!

In Math, we are working on Sorting and Counting objects. What is the same and what is different? We will also be working on making 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 in the next couple of weeks. We are always working on counting to 100!
