Hello Scientists!

Whenever I hear that someone doesn’t like science, I’m baffled. Science is all around you! Science is a way of knowing and it’s important to understand how to use it in decisions you make every day. From choosing your breakfast to researching a car to understanding illness and beyond. You need to be able to decipher the information the world presents to you so you can see the difference between real science and pseudo science. That’s what taking a science class is about: learning to be a good learner.

In our classes this year we’ll be learning by doing. Science is fun! There’s no need to sit in your seat listening to your teacher drone on for hours on end. There’s no memorizing a bunch of words without understanding what they really mean. We’ll learn by experimenting and failing in our class, but always with getting back up to try it again. We always learn from our failures!

Here’s to always being amazed by the world around you!
