Week of October 2nd

October 2, 2023

I can’t believe that it is already October! We have been having so much fun as a class, but the time has sure gone by quickly.

Parent teacher conferences are quickly approaching. They are Wednesday, October 25th and Thursday the 26th. I am excited to meet with you to talk about your student’s growth and goals. Please see my last post for more information, or sign up for your time here.

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • October 11th – 13th – Fall Break – NO SCHOOL
  • October 25th – 26th – Parent Teacher Conferences – Early Out @ 1:10
  • Tuesday, Oct 31st – Halloween Parade/Party – Early Out @ 1:10
  • Wednesday, Nov 1st – Teacher Work Day – NO SCHOOL

If you are interested in volunteering during our fun Halloween Party, please reach out to me through email! I will be putting together multiple stations for the students to participate in, so I will be looking for volunteers to help put together some fun activities for the students!

MATH: We will start lesson 6 which is multiplying by 3, 4, & 6. Below is the family letter explaining how I teach this lesson and it includes an activity that helps with this skill. If you would like to give your child extra practice with multiplication, this activity would be an excellent option to use.

ELA: This week we will be working on Unit 2 Week 1 in our Wonders program. Below is an outline of what we are learning in class.
