J15- Why the change in Farah? (Bed-wetting, clingy, etc.) What do you think about Karim’s reaction to her being teased?

J16- Design your “dream playground” like Karim did with Hopper’s ground. (Ch. 18) Either describe it or draw a picture of it.  Use DETAILS.

J17- React to Hopper’s behavior with Israeli tank. (Swinging on barrel, eggplant “bomb”). Was he being brave or reckless? Or both?  Why did he behave that way?

J18- Do you have pets (or had) that have made a difference in your life? Why does Karim feel betrayed by Aziza? Is she a “traitor?”

J19- What do you think Karim imagines an “ordinary life” would be like? Do you consider your life ordinary? Why/why not?
