FYI and reminders…

Thank you for all your help and support this year. It is much appreciated. First, remember this Friday is short day, with school being dismissed at 1:00. And no school next week. Our first day back after next week is December 1st. If you would like to meet with me, we are having school wide PTC from 3:30-5:00 this Thursday the 20th. I would love to meet with you and discuss you students goals and your expectations for the year. Please contact me if you would like to meet, to set an appointment time, your students are wonderful. We are having our Prize Box day in December, around the 18th, right before the holiday break. We are very low on prizes and I would like to start building up our “inventory.” You have been so generous with your time and monies this year. Thank you, Mr. Bokinskie

Fundraiser basket

Parents, POQA has asked us to put together a Jr High Basket to be part of a raffle fundraiser. If our basket wins, the Jr. High will receive money from POQA to use for whatever we need. Mary Trujillo, Brittany Zimmerman, and Becky Chidester have volunteered to put it together. Please send any questions or donations their way at mtrujillo@questac.org or bzimmmerman@questac.org. Please get all donations in by Monday, November 10 at the latest so we have time to get the basket together before the due date on Wednesday. We have decided to use the theme “Quest Rocks” for the basket. Here are some ideas for donations: ITunes gift cards in any amount Amazon gift cards in any amount Music T-shirts or merchandise Movie Passes Anything else Music related If you would like to donate something specific off this list or have an idea of your own, please drop it by the office at Q2 or send it in with your student. If you would like to participate but don’t have time to make it to a store, please feel free to send any amount of money with your child and we will be happy to do the shopping for you. They can turn it into the office in Q2! Thank you so much for all your support! With a little help we can put together the best basket and win the money for our Jr High! =========== Greg Cypers Anna Bokinskie’s A/1 Career and Technical Education Teacher Quest Academy ============================== Login to view Student Summary or manage your subscription: https://quest.usoe-dcs.org/

Halloween Party

Our class has a volunteer to plan our Halloween party and she needs 3 or 4 parents to help her.  This is a great way to pick up some volunteer hours.  Our fourth grade class has been working super hard this year.  I am so proud of them.  They work hard, they are respectable and each day they amaze me with their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn. I have attached contact information for M. Deller, the volunteer parent who would love your help.  Again, thank you for the opportunity to teach your students.  They are wonderful.

TRICK OR READING PROJECT!

Pumpkin project 1 Leroy Pumpkin 2013CHECK IT…

Trick or Reading-2Trick-or-Reading Halloween Project

Parents and students,

It is time for our annual October reading project, Trick-or-Reading!

Here are the details:

1. Pumpkin Book Report: Students must read a book (chapter or picture) and create a pumpkin that looks like the main character from their book. Students can carve, paint, dress or otherwise decorate their pumpkin in any manner they choose.

2. Students then create a tri-fold poster to display, on which the setting, characters, main problem, solution, and their favorite part(s) of the book are displayed.  Tri-folds also need to contain the name and author of the book.

3. Student MAY also dress up as their main character but are not required to do so.  Please DO NOT invest a lot of money on a costume. Instead use things from around the house and be creative.

Due October 29th.  Activity on October 30th, 9:00-10:30.
