In your child’s backpack you should have noticed a small purple card that is a VOUCHER GOOD FOR TWO COMPLEMENTARY TICKETS to a Weber State Men’s Basketball Game!

There is also a purple sheet with information about the WSU Jr. Cheer and Dance Clinic.
WHEN: Wednesday, January 15th from 6-8pm
WHERE: DEE EVENTS CENTER
WHO: Girls and Boys ages 3-16 COST: 25$ includes Pizza and T-Shirt

The clinic is only one night. Your child will learn their routine that night and be ready to perform it at Saturday’s Game!

This Friday is the end of the second quarter. Please make sure Homework 6-14 has been completed and turned in for credit.

There was a fantastic assembly Friday afternoon! Weber state came to visit!
Turns out Dr. Dave has some tumbling skills as well!

Our Kinders will be tested tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 8 during the very first 30 minutes of class!

This test will include:
First sounds – I’ll say a word, they will tell me the first sound.

All individual sounds – I’ll say a word, they will say each individual sound.

Nonsense words – they will have a sheet of paper with three letter nonsense words. Students will sound each letter out and blend them together.

Make up testing will be available, so if your little one is sick, please keep him/her home!

Homework #14 has been posted!

Remember to send your kiddos in warm clothes! If the temperature is above 20 degrees they will go outside for recess!

Two weeks until grades will be posted. Please check SIS for Homework grades.

Bingo sheets can be turned in tomorrow! If you haven’t turned in Sheet #1, it will be accepted tomorrow. It can be found on the Quest blog. You will not get Sheet #2 until Sheet #1 has been turned in.

In class we participated in Hour of Code. As a group, we walked though the basic steps to write code. The Kinders were wiggling to do it on their own! If you have time, I highly recommend doing this at home!!

Homework #13 has been posted! This will be the last homework packet of 2013!

This Friday (the 13th!) will be $1.00 dress down. The 20th with be a free dress down day.

This Friday will also be our Hour of Code. Your Kinders won’t want to miss it!

Thursday, December 19th will be fun Christmas centers! We love fun crafts and games so if you would like to volunteer or donate, please post below!

Friday, December 20th is a short day! We will be watching Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and making reindeer treats using donuts! YUM! At the November board meeting, it was decided that on Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day, classes can have treats. If you could donate a box of small chocolate donuts, pretzels, or napkins, please post below. 

Snow boots are allowed in Kindergarten!! I’m pretty much wearing them all day so your Kinder is more than welcome to as well. Lets keep their little feet warm!
