Field Day Reminders…

1. Bring a lunch!! NO school lunch is served that day.
2. Wear sunblock/sunscreen. We will be outside and I don’t want any lobsters!
3. FREE dress down but follow school dress down rules. No tank tops, shoes need to be closed heel and toe.
4. Have fun.
Volunteers: we’d still love to have you. Please contact: Rachel Hopkins at (801)389-0965.
They are looking to have you from 8-1:30 but I am sure if you are not available the whole time they’d still take you. It takes a small army to make a field day.

POQA is selling Rush passes: Rush Funplex fun passes for $15 (a $23 value). These passes include 2 hours of unlimited activities (bowling, 3D mini golf, laser tag, go-karts, batting cages, the bounce kids zone, the aquatic center, and the Battle Blaster). Passes can be purchased at the Q1 front office. Great summer activity for your kiddos. They will be selling them Friday and on their website: squareup.com/store/poqa
Support our wonderful POQA as they do so many wonderful things for us.

No homework

No there’s no homework for this week. Enjoy your last week in my class. I think we’ve truly had a fantastic year. I have loved being your teacher and have loved each and every one of you. If you are still here next year be sure to stop by and tell me how you are. At least give a friendly wave. I hope you remember what you have learned, and can walk away proud knowing you did your best! Good luck this summer and next year!

Spelling Bee

It’s pretty exciting news, but we are having a 4th grade spelling bee. Three lucky kiddos from each class will get the opportunity to spell their way to fame! We had the contest in our class yesterday to see who made it and these lucky gentlemen made it. Congrats, boys! The boys.

Homework May 16

Ahhh we’ve had such a great year together. If I could start at the beginning and do it all over again, I would. Of course, I’d make a few changes on the way, but overall it’s been amazing. Now, I know you thought you’d get out of homework. Here’s your homework for the week:
1. Go for a bike ride.
2. Do something nice for your parent(s) or a sibling.
3. SING.
4. Be sure to tell those in your family that you love them.
Bonus: If you have a cat, kiss the cat on the head!
Speaking of cats, here’s one of my favorite. This is my kitty Jazz.Jazz

More reading info…

The best way I figured to do this was just to put it into one post. For the summer reading challenge list, I put up a picture so you have the information, passwords can be changed when you log in.
Weber County Library programs sound pretty fun and offer prizes for students who participate. I am not as familiar with the Barnes and Noble activities, but I am sure they are also great.
Students: This is all the information the librarian told you about and asked me to post.
If you have questions, please ask our wonderful librarian Nicole Anderson.
