Homework March 12-16

Welcome Daylight Saving Time! This could be a hard week. Do your best to get to work on time and get up and be here. This has always been one of the harder times of the year for me to adjust to. I know I don’t do well when I “miss” an hour of sleep.

This week in spelling we are studying vowel patterns like ai – brain; ea – repeat; oa – boast; ou – discount; ee – speed; and oo – baboon.

Math – We will be studying symmetry. See what you can find around your house that has symmetry.

Homework – I will have work for you on Front Row Ed for math and a reading article.

See you in the class!

Homework Mar. 5-8

This week I am going to keep making your homework easy. You will have an article to read on Front Row and two math assignments to do.

We are studying Geometry for math. We have lines, rays, line segments, and points. For spelling we are studying two syllable words with long vowel sounds like famous and beside.

I will see you in the classroom!

Homework Feb. 20-22

This week for spelling we will be studying words that make the “o” sound but have the patterns: au, aw, al(l), ou.

We will also have 3 assignments on Front Row. We are beginning a new math standard MD.3. It is all about area and perimeter. Due to the short week there will be NO work on Google classroom. Please make sure that you are reading 20 minutes per night.

Homework Feb. 12-15

My wonderful students,
This week all of your homework will be on Front Row. You have one ELA article called Valentine’s Day!!!!! Do this on Front Row. You will also have 2 math assignments to do. We should have a good week. We will spend a little bit of time on Wednesday for you to pass out your Valentines to each other. Make sure you bring one for each person in class and don’t leave anyone out. We don’t need broken hearts 🙂 I will see you in the classroom!

Prodigy Opportunity

Parents,
Your students love prodigy. At the school we have a great money saving opportunity for parents to purchase a subscription to this program at a drastically reduced rate. I want to say a year membership is usually $60 and we can get it for $12. I am not sure what the paid membership gets your child, but I am sure your child knows.

No worries if you don’t want a paid membership we will keep using the other membership. This is just totally optional.

If you are interested fill out this form and drop it off to the office with your money. Prodigy

Valentine’s Day

For Valentine’s you are allowed to bring a decorated box or bag for your Valentine’s. We will be passing out Valentine’s at the end of the day. No parents are needed – this is not a party. Feel free to leave the TO section of the Valentine blank and just fill in the From with your name. Reminder that Quest is a “no food” school. So, you can send treats, but they can’t be food related (ie. stamps, pencils, erasers, etc).

There are 24 students in the class. If you feel the need to write names on them the names in our class are:
Matthew     Ayden     Kaylee    Braden     Daxton     Tabitha     Presley   Hunter    Jessica     Walker       Tyler         Kaden   Trinity        Kason       Caden     Sam       Suzanna   Lillian
