The Week of November 30th – December 4th!

Welcome Back!! I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving break! The next three weeks are going to be insane with activity and we will be super busy. One thing that will will be doing is earning Grinch hearts for our Grinch Party that will take place on December 18th. Each student will have the chance to earn three hearts. One for Kindness, one for Respect and one for Responsibility. I will be looking for students going above and beyond the normal for them to earn their hearts. Math – We will be starting our math slides up again this week. Below is the family letter from our math work book the explains what we are doing in class. On the second page of the letter, there is an activity to help students with multiplication. You are not required to do the activity, it is just a suggestion if you would like your child to practice at home. While we work on our multiplication facts in class, it is so important that students practice their facts at home. 3rd graders are required to pass of their 0-10 facts before they move onto 4th grade!

ELA – This week we are working on Unit 3 Week 3 in our Wonders book. Below is an outline of what we will be learning.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING BREAK!!

I hope everyone has a wonder and safe Thanksgiving break! The greatest thing that I am thankful for is the chance to get to hang out with your child everyday! My class is made up of amazing human beings and I am so grateful for them. Thank you for trusting me with your child. Once again have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!!

Recording Permission Form

Starting in January, we will have the wonderful opportunity to have Mrs. Warwood in our class. She is a student teacher who will be learning and teaching in our classroom. Please invest in some flash cards to help your child learn their facts. THIS IS SO IMPORTANT!!!!

MATH – We are changing things up for the next couple of weeks for math. We are going to put a pause on our math lessons and slides and instead focus on our multiplication facts. We will be playing games, learning chats/songs, and stories to help use learn our facts. While we work on our multiplication facts in class, it is so important that students practice their facts at home. 3rd graders are required to pass of their 0-10 facts before they move onto 4th grade. Ice Cream Party on Friday

Our class was the top selling class out of the whole school for our fundraiser. So, we will be having an ice cream party on Friday, Nov. 6th. SNOW DAY PACKET – Last Thursday I sent home a manilla envelope. This envelope contains snow day packet materials and is to be used if we have a snow day. Please keep it in a safe spot in case we need to use it. This packet also includes student login information for all of the programs that we use.
