Make Up Work if Absent

Here are some ideas to work on if your child is absent:

1-Read from recent decodables we send home each week.

2-If you have a set of alphabet flashcards (or print one from here: http://qacblogs.org/lisa.teichert/2021/11/18/printable-flashcards/) practice speed in naming the letters and also the sounds (55 in a minute).  Picking up the speed will give them a boost and an advantage in reading!

3-Practice reading and memorizing the new sight words we’re learning this week: “he”, “with”.

4-Work on iReady (available during school hours). Go to clever.com and log in using the QR code on the front of their take home folder. Here’s the schedule we follow at school:

Mondays and Wednesdays: Math for 10 min.+

Tuesdays and Thursdays: Reading for 10 min.+

***There is an assigned lesson in math this week, so have them click the “blue box” before doing the “green box” in math.

The link is always available on the right sidebar of our blog as well [“Clever (iReady)”].

5-Work on this week’s MATH and READING worksheet packets. Email me if you can pick them up at the front office and we’ll run them down there for you: lteichert@questac.org

Thanks for helping your child stay caught up when absent!
