A favorite thing that comes in two’s are socks! On TWO’s Day, 2-22-22 let’s celebrate the number 2 by wearing two different socks. (This is completely optional)

We are now beginning Unit 7 in Language Arts. Here are the sight words, oral vocabulary words, letters, and sounds we will be mastering during the next 3 weeks. In addition, we continue to read decodable books and passages. We are also working on writing sentences. We ask ourselves…Does it have a capital? Does it have a space? Did you put the punctation in its place? (and did we use lowercase for the rest of the letters?)

As a class in math, we will be solving addition and subtraction word problems to 10. We will also be exploring teen numbers. Individually, the students are working to master their current selected math standard. Ask them about their Nearpod lessons.

In science and STEM, we will be comparing how animals are alike and different. And we will be exploring how animals change their environments.

We had a great day of giving and celebrating our friendships. Thanks so much for all the thoughtful Valentine’s! What a sweet class we have!

We just met with administration and they are allowing students to include a store bought, wrapped treat with their Valentine’s if they would like. Non-food Valentine’s are wonderful as well!
