Water Bottles

waterHot Weather + Recess = Thirsty First Graders!  🙂

Please send your child with a spill proof water bottle EACH DAY to keep in their cubbies.   One drinking fountain with five, first grade classes would take an impossible amount of time and we want to make sure they are getting enough water.  Thanks so much!

Homework Starts This Week

We had a great first week and love our amazing class!  Besides homework, we are also looking forward to starting STEM this week with Ms. Cookie and Ms. Carrie, library with Mrs. Anderson and going to the keyboarding/CODE lab with Mrs. Fischer.

Please look for your child’s math homework in their blue take-home-folder on Monday, help them work steadily on it throughout the week, and is due on Friday (please remember to sign it).

For (optional) extra math practice, Math Games and Activities will always be available on our blog when you click on the “Homework” tab

First Day Pick Up Information

A Small Group of Kids Walking to SchoolWe are so excited for our FIRST DAY of school Monday and hope you are too!!
Remember: The first week of school is EARLY OUT each day and end at 1:00.

To help ease the first day pick up jitters for parents and students, we wanted to let you know that we lead our class out the EAST doors.  Carpool students will go to the back of the building.  We will take all other students to the tree just in front of OUR classroom windows.

If you have instructed your child to meet you somewhere else (often with older siblings), they can then let either Ms. Smith or Mrs. Teichert know they will be going to that spot.  Otherwise, your child will be waiting at our designated spot and can go with you after your child lets us know you are there and we see you.

We will do this the first few days to help us all feel comfortable with pick up.

Parking Lot Procedures

Some of the most frequent questions we get about the parking lot:

  • “Where do I pick up and drop off my student?”
  • “I’m hearing people talk about stacking lanes. What are they talking about?”
  • “Can I park in a stall and have my student come to me?”
Whether you are new to Quest or a Quest veteran, please take a moment and view this informative AND entertaining video about the parking lot procedures at Quest. Please share with anyone who will be driving your child to and/or from school.
