Dr. Seuss Day this Friday

This Friday, March 2nd, is Dr. Seuss Day! To celebrate, students may choose one, two, or three of these activities:

1. Dress as Thing One and Thing Two with a friend,

2. Wear a green shirt, pants, socks, and/or other accessories (Green Eggs and Ham style!),

3. Wear Crazy Who Hair!

Friday is not free dress, so anyone not wearing one of the above must be in uniform. I can’t wait to see my class this Friday!

This week

Hi, Parents!

Last night’s parent-teacher conferences went great. If you have not yet signed up, there are plenty of spots for Thursday. I would like to meet with each and every one of you, so if Thursday doesn’t work for you, just send me an email or text and I will schedule a time to meet with you.  Don’t forget Goodies with Grownups is on Thursday, and the book fair is going strong!

For homework this week, I am going to be working with each student to see where they need extra help in Math. I will be sending worksheets home in specific subject areas. So aside from reading, the homework this week will be in backpacks. Thanks for your support in this.

Valentine’s Day

As most of you know, students are not allowed to bring candy for Valentine’s Day. However, we will have  a card exchange and they can bring non-food items with the cards. Our Valentine bags are paper sacks (lunch-sized).

It saves a lot of time if students sign the Valentine cards, but don’t put specific names. (I don’t mind if they have a specific card they want to give a good friend, but I told them to make sure to bring enough for the whole class.) We have 25 students in our class. We are not having a Valentine party, just a card exchange at the end of the day.

Thanks, parents!
