I was born and raised in North Ogden, Utah so I am a home grown Utah girl! I currently live in Roy with my husband, 4 handsome sons, and 1 spoiled rotten daughter. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to read and want my students to find joy in reading. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Weber State University with a history specialization. I think we can learn so many great life lessons from the past and LOVE learning about people who have lived all over the world in all different time periods. I had the opportunity do an exchange program in high school where I was able to attend school in Germany for a month. I was able to travel around and visit WWII history sights, castles that were hundreds of years old and even go to where The Sound of Music was filmed.

One thing I really enjoy is cooking; which comes in handy with my growing boys who eat EVERYTHING! I absolutely love baked goods anything from brownies and cookies to fresh bread and cinnamon rolls. Although I love that we get to experience all four seasons in Utah, summer is my favorite because I enjoy gardening, hiking, camping, going to Bear Lake, and pretty much anything outdoors.
