I sent home a Scholastic book order form with your students today. As always, there are some wonderful books at reasonable prices. I will keep the order open until Thursday, February 26. Feel free to click on this link: https://clubs2.scholastic.com Our classroom code is NKFMG. Entering this code will connect you to my account, and any purchases you make help us add points to purchase books for room. I know the students are very excited about some of the books that are available from the book order.
We still need a few more parents to volunteer for our party this Friday from 1:30 until 3:00. Please let me know if you are available to help out.
We also need the following donations for our party:
21 boxes of conversation hearts -2 or 3 packages of candy corn (red, white, and pink ones) -chocolate kisses -Valentines plain M&Ms -Twizzlers -21 heart shaped sugar cookies (they have to be store bought) -Pink or white frosting Sprinkles
Thank you in advance for your generosity in supporting our classroom.
PLEASE have your students here on time tomorrow. We will be leaving promptly at 8:30 and we don’t want to leave anyone behind. Have your student come directly into my classroom when they get here instead of lining up outside so we can take roll and head out. The address to the Children’s Theater is 3605 South State Street Salt Lake City. I am excited, it will be a fun day!
In regards to carpooling to the field trip, please let me know as soon as possible if you are willing to carpool with other parents to Salt Lake. We currently have one dad who would like to attend and help out at the field trip but would need a ride. Please let me know if you are interested and/or have an extra seat. Thank You!!

The Valentine’s Party will be held Friday the 13th from 1:30 until 3:00. Thank you to those parents who have volunteered their time. We are in need of a few more parent volunteers. Also, the students voted today and it was unanimous that they wanted to make Valentine boxes for their cards. This is not a requirement, but if you choose to make a cute box please send it on Friday.
Feel free to send Valentine cards to school with your child for their classmates on Friday as well. However, please send enough for each of our 21 students to have one as we don’t want anyone to feel left out. Please don’t send any candy or food items in the cards as it is against our school policy.
Below is the food permission slip for the Valentine’s Party. Please submit your permission before Wednesday, February 12. Thank you!
You will be receiving an email request from me to sign up for Class Dojo. Class Dojo is a way that I can communicate better with you about how your child is doing during class. I think it will benefit our students to be able to share with their parents positive feedback from class each day as well as things each student can work on. Feel free to email me with any questions about this new tool. Mrs. Lloyd
I would like to put together a Valentine Party for Friday the 13th from 1:00 and 3:00. Please let me know if you would like to help put some games, crafts, or activities together. Please also let me know if you would be able to volunteer and help with the activities.

I apologize with so many posts this week! We are in desperate need of glue sticks and dry erase markers. If you would be willing to donate, please send with your child. Also, if you see a good deal on them, let me know so I can stock up.
