Prezi Power!

by on May.16, 2014, under Uncategorized

We are exploring the fun world of Prezis!  A Prezi is a lot like a power point…but yet different. 🙂

This morning we put our thinking caps on and created new lands or planets.  The students needed to create a new planet or land that they have discovered.  Within their thinking, they had to be specific and think about habitats, adaptations, climate, weather, etc — basically a lot of our science standards!  After they were creative, they got to be creative with computers!  🙂  They are now working on creating a Prezi to present their planets/new land.

We had a lot of fun today exploring the world of Prezi’s!  Stay tuned to see the final products!!

Thanksgiving Point

by on May.14, 2014, under Uncategorized

I have gotten quite a few responses that parents want to be a chaperone for our upcoming field trip.  If something has changed and you can’t go, or didn’t say that you wanted to–but have changed your mind–PLEASE let me know by Friday, the 16th so that I can plan groups, tickets, etc.

Thanks a million!!!

A few things…

by on May.12, 2014, under Uncategorized

Okay, I know there are a lot of posts today…sorry!!  Please read all the way through!  😉

A couple of things to remember:

Tomorrow is Day One of our Sage Math test.  Please get a lot of rest and a great breakfast.  We test at 9:20.  🙂

Don’t forget that I need permission slips turned in by Friday, the 16th for the Rendezvous, butter eating permission slip (for the 22nd), and the permission slip to go to Thanksgiving Point.  I know there are a lot of permission slips…please don’t forget to turn them in!  🙂

If you want to attend the field trip to Thanksgiving Point…please let me know.  Remember that you will need to pay for your way down and also into the museum.  (it’s $15 to get into the museum)  The policy is no siblings are allowed on the field trips, so please plan accordingly.  Thanks!!

Rendezvous projects that are being “sold” need to be brought to school by MONDAY the 19th!!  Don’t wait until the last minute!!  🙂

It’s pretty crazy from here until the end of the school year…please keep checking our Classroom Calendar for all upcoming school/classroom events!

Quick Note…

by on May.12, 2014, under Uncategorized

Please remember that any treats that you bring for the 4th grade pizza party need to be free of peanuts/tree nuts due to allergies!!

I’m so sorry that I accidentally left this out of the first note!

Upcoming Events…

by on May.09, 2014, under Uncategorized

Next week, we have our final scheduled Sage Tests!!  We only have the two math tests (and any makeup tests) left!!  The kids are doing a great job and working hard!  I am proud!!
Don’t forget that next Friday is the school carnival!  Come out and support Quest!

Rendezvous projects need to be brought in on Monday, the 19th.

On Tuesday, the 20th, the fourth grade will be having our “After Testing Pizza Party”!!  This will be from 5-6 in the Q1 gym.  A few classes are in charge of donating money for pizza, others are bringing in paper products, our class is in charge of bringing in some treats.  You could bring in some cookies, donut holes, donuts, etc.  Whatever you think would be a good treat for our party.  Please remember, that it must be store bought.  🙂  Feel free to bring in treats anytime.
We will be having different activities and games for the kids to enjoy, to go along with all of our yummy food.  🙂  We do ask that this stays just a fourth grade celebration–no siblings, please.

The 22nd will be our Rendezvous.  More information to come…

I feel so LOVED!!  Thank you for the door decorations!  I loved the sweet words from the kiddos.  They made me laugh!  How did you know I like the Huskers?!!  🙂    I absolutely love it–and I’m not going to lie, it’s the best door in the school!!  🙂

I can’t thank everyone enough for letting me teach your wonderful little angels, and for all your help and support this year!!  It has been one of my favorites, by far!!  I am not ready to say goodbye to these cuties!!
