I hope that everyone has been enjoying their time off!  I know I have!  

I wanted to let you know that I’ve been trying to upload the Box of Hope videos that I took, but for some reason I can’t get them to upload from home.  🙁  I will keep trying and if nothing else, I’ll go to the school one of these days and try to upload them from there!  🙂  It was an amazing project that turned out amazing–just as I had hope and expected!  I can’t wait for everyone to see the videos with the reactions and faces!

Like I’ve said before, it’s my favorite project we do all year, by far!!

Tomorrow we will be sharing our Boxes of Hope.  There are still a few things missing for some kiddos…PLEASE make sure they get brought in!  

Just a quick reminder to kiddos that since Friday’s schedule is so crazy, we have library tomorrow!  Don’t forget your books!

It’s also the Read-a-Thon from 1-2.  If you want to bring in blankets/pillows to be comfortable, you are more than welcome to!

Next week is going to be a little crazy.  Here are some of the things that are coming…

Tuesday: Museum on the Move is coming in to teach us about fossils.

Wednesday: All of the Box of Hope items should be done and brought in

Thursday: We will exchange the Boxes of Hope 

                     We will be having a Read-a-Thon from 1-2.  Kids can bring in     blankets/pillows to be comfortable–and don’t forget a book!  🙂

Friday: 9:00-School-wide Sing Along in the gym

               10:00-Polar Express movie with hot chocolate 

               Early out-1:00 (Free Dress Down day)

Hey everyone!  I want to say thank you to everyone who braved the rain to come to Parent/Teacher conferences!  It’s been great chatting with everyone!!  

A couple of reminders:

Friday (tomorrow) is early out–not dress down, just early out.  

We only have school on Monday and Tuesday next week!  Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are Fall Break days!  

The end of term 1 is on the 25th.  All missing assignments need to be turned in no later than the 22nd to be counted!  (Some of you I told the 18th at conferences, but I forgot we didn’t have school on the 18th–who forgets that?!!)

I can’t wait to see everyone and be able to chat with you about your kiddos this week!  My schedule is very full and so we will have to work really hard to stay on time–this is always the tough part for me. 🙂  Don’t forget that I’d like to have the kiddos at the conference as well, so they can show you how awesome they are!

While you are hanging around the school for conferences, don’t forget that we have the book fair going on this week in the gym!

The forecast for tomorrow:  cold and wet.  Ugh!!  

Please send your student in appropriate clothes.  We will be outside a lot!  

Students need to have a jacket/coat, comfortable shoes to walk in, a backpack to hold their lunch (no lunch is provided by the school), and a water bottle.  School rules are that students going on field trips, must wear school uniforms.  I asked about being able to wear spirit shirts, but the answer was no, they have to be in their regular school uniform clothes. 

The buses are scheduled to leave at 8:30–we will start meeting in our classroom around 8:20 to make sure we have everyone!  We don’t want to leave anyone behind, so please be on time!  🙂
