I have taught school for 33 years. I started at Bates Elementary in North Ogden and taught 3rd and 5th grade. Then I taught one year at Country View Elementary in 1st grade. From there I went to West Weber Elementary where I taught 3rd grade for 14 years and 5th grade for 4 years. My last 7 years in Weber School District were in 3rd grade at Hooper Elementary.
I’ve been at Quest for the last 3 years as a 3rd grade teacher and this year I’ll be changing my role just a little bit by helping other teachers at Quest.
As you can tell, my favorite grade is 3rd.
I grew up in Sunset, and graduated from Clearfield High and then went to Utah State for my Bachelor’s Degree. I attended Weber State to obtain my Master’s Degree and my STEM Endorsement. I love to learn new things and really enjoy technology and all the new things it brings to education.
When I’m not at school, I’m usually home with my 7 kids and dear husband. My husband’s name is Brian and he works at IRS. My kids are Daniel, Justin, Shanna, Michael, Nathan, Tanner and Bryce. There are 6 boys and 1 girl. I also have 1 darling granddaughter who’s name if Brooke.
I love to read, cross stitch, scrapbook, crochet, cook (but not clean up), and hang out with my family.
I hope this tells you a little about me! I’m sure you’ll have more questions and some of them you’ll learn as the year goes on.
