School Volunteer Hours

Just in case you need to work some hours..

.Are you having a difficult time getting your volunteer hours? Would you like to help the school and buy out your hours?  A donation of $150 will take care of your 30 hours for the 2018-2019 school year. If you don’t need your full 30 hours you can make a donation of $5 per hour you need. This donation will be used to put nice stamped cement along the front of the school where the grass won’t grow and creates a mud mess.  If you’re interested in volunteering and need ideas, please contact your students teacher or POQA.  If you have contact information for a person who lays cement or a person who can move a tree, please let Kitty McKissen at poqavp@gmail.com know. If you are unsure how many hours you have, refer to the email you received the beginning of the month from Help Counter or contact Catherine Sumner at csumner@questac.org  Please take your cash or check donation to Q1 or Q2 office.  If you need a receipt, let the office ladies know and POQA will gladly write one for you. Thank you for volunteering and helping make Quest the BEST!!!

Spelling words and some odds and ends

Spelling Words for the Week of March 18th

Odds and Ends

1. We have t2 Field Trips left this year.  ! will be an in-school Field Trip where we will not need anyone to volunteer for This field trip  is on April 26.

2
.  The second field trip is scheduled for May 7 and involves our taking the classes on the Frontrunner and the Trax to go to the Planetarium.  We will be asking for only 7, I believe, volunteers per class.  The adult volunteers will have to pay for their train/trax/admission costs.  More information will be sent out later.

The most important rule for this trip is that each child must listen and pay attention!  Lately, there are 8-10 students in our class who cannot stop talking, getting out of their seats, not working, and bothering people.  If this behavior continues, they will not be able to go on the field trip.  I need to know that they will be able to listen and behave correctly when we are on public transportation.  I would hate for someone to get lost or left behind because they were talking when they should’ve been listening.

If you have any questions, please let me know.
