  • We do NOT need volunteers for our party.

  • If your student brings valentines to share they should bring one for EVERYONE in the class. If they want to hand out valentines to only a select few, during class is NOT the time to do that.
  • Only write who the Valentine is FROM. Do NOT address Valentine’s to each student (this will help the students distribute their Valentine’s in a more orderly manner).

  • To reinforce high frequency words, phonics and fluent reading, please keep reading decodable stories that are sent home each Tuesday.

Valentine’s Day Party

Stores are now stocked and ready for Valentine’s Day.  To help you properly prepare for our class celebrations, here are the Quest guidelines in regards to Valentine’s:

“Per Quest’s wellness policy, all food in the classroom must be pre-approved. Furthermore, parental permission is also required for students to consume food during class parties. Due to this policy—as in years past—student Valentines cannot contain edible items. Suggestions for nonfood Valentines include pencils, erasers, bubbles, stickers, etc. Please note that such items, including Valentine cards, are in no way required.”

Other details regarding the Valentines celebration:

  • Morning class has 23 students.
  • Afternoon class has 20 students.
  • We do NOT need volunteers for our party.
  • Your student does NOT need to bring a box for collecting valentines.
  • If your student brings valentines to share they should bring one for EVERYONE in the class. If they want to hand out valentines to only a select few, during class is NOT the time to do that.
