Just a reminder that if you have not paid your $30.00 donation for school supplies you can pay it to the office or online. If you have not signed up for BLOOMZ, please do so. Our class code is: 8YDP8R.

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 1st – Picture Day – See below for flyer and order information
  • Thursday, Sept. 3rd – Short Day
  • Friday, Sept. 4th – No School
  • Monday, Sept. 7th – Labor Day! No School

MATH

We are starting rounding this week and will work on it for the next few weeks. This is a very hard concept for students to master. Below is the family letter from our math work book that explains what we are doing in class. On the second page of the letter, there is an activity to help students with rounding. You are not required to do the activity, it is just a suggestion if you would like your child to practice at home.

ELA: Below is an outline of what we are learning in Wonders (ELA). We will also finish our reading diagnostic.

Two Reminders

Please remember that this Friday and next Friday are teacher work days. Students will stay home on these days as our educators assess how things are going and make adjustments to maximize everyone’s learning experience (on-campus and e-learning).

Though we have allowed parents to drop their young students off these past few days, we now ask that students enter the building without adult assistance. Elementary students should enter the building through the front doors and then go out back through the recess doors. They could also go through the gate between the two buildings to access the back of the school. When the bell rings, they’ll line up as they’ve been taught. Thanks for your understanding in this matter as we try to mitigate student and staff exposure.

Masked Selfie Art

We’ve started a fun project in class, and many of the students wanted to make another one at home. I’ve included a link to the instructions and a file that can be printed at home.

Welcome to Third Grade!!!

Where we learn like CHAMPIONS!

I am so excited to meet all the awesome students in my class this year! We’re going to have a great time together and learn a lot of fun things. Third grade was my FAVORITE year in elementary school, and I hope it will be yours as well! I will see you at Back to School Night on August 18, and then on the First Day of School, August 20!

Here are a few things you can do now:

Bloomz Apps:  Use the following link for instructions to connect to our class using the Bloomz App.  I will use this throughout the year to communicate with parents along with the blog.  I use Bloomz a lot so please sign up. Bloomz App

Class Disclosure Statement: Please read and sign- Mrs. Hadley’s Class Disclosure

Food Permission Form: This is a blanket food permission form for the entire school year.  The food items on this list are ones we have used regularly in the past for class parties and for math, science, and ELA lessons. Please check all items that your child can have. There is a box for substitution suggests if your child cannot have items on the list. Food Permission Form

Parent Survey:  The following link is a short survey to help me get to know your child better.  Please take a few moments to fill it out. Parent Survey

Supply List:  I am asking for money donations in the amount of $30.00 instead of you buying your child’s supplies. This means I do all the shopping, labeling and organizing.  Awesome, right? One less thing you have to worry about. However, this does not cover headphones. Please send those with your child on the first day of school. You can click on the Parent Info Tab above, to find out what your $30.00 will cover.

Payments may be made on Quest’s website by clicking “Current Families,” then “Online Payments.” Enter my name and donation amount.

We will be performing our Utah History Program for the school tomorrow. Students may wear “Sunday best” or their uniforms. This is NOT a dress down day. They still need to follow school standards. No holes, shoulders covered, and skirts appropriate length,…
