Stuffed Animal Friday!

Our amazing class has already earned their first reward for awesome behavior. This Friday, September 1, they may bring a stuffed animal to class. It shouldn’t be larger than will fit in their backpacks. If they’d like to leave it on their desk for the day, it should be an appropriate size for that as well. Thanks so much for sending me such great kiddos to teach everyday!

2023-2024 School Year

I am so excited to meet all the students in my class this year! We’re going to have a great time together and learn a lot of fun things. Third grade was my FAVORITE year in elementary school, and I hope it will be yours as well! I will see you at Back to School Night on August 14, and then on the First Day of School, August 16! The first three days are early out days with dismissal at 1:20.

Here are a few things you can do now:

Class Disclosure Statement: Please read and sign- Mrs. Hadley’s Class Disclosure

Food Permission Form: This is a blanket food permission form for the entire school year.  The food items on this list are ones we have used regularly in the past for class parties and for math, science, and ELA lessons. Please check all items that your child can have. There is a box for substitution suggests if your child cannot have items on the list. Food Permission Form

Parent Survey:  The following link is a short survey to help me get to know your child better.  Please take a few moments to fill it out. Parent Survey

Supply List:  I am asking for money donations in the amount of $30.00 instead of you buying your child’s supplies. This means I do all the shopping, labeling and organizing.  Awesome, right? One less thing you have to worry about. However, this does not cover headphones. Please send those with your child on the first day of school. You can click on the Parent Info Tab above, to find out what your $30.00 will cover, or click this link.

Payments may be made on Quest’s website by clicking “Current Families,” then “Online Payments.” Enter my name and donation amount.

One way that you can help your child over the summer is to READ!!! It is so important to have your child read every day for 20 minutes.

The Week of May 222

Oh my goodness! This school year has flown by so quickly and I am left wondering where the time has gone. We are entering our last week of school and there is so much going on. Please make sure that your child brings a backpack everyday to school. I am going to start sending home items this week when we start cleaning out desks, and it is amazing all of the stuff that your child will bring home. Below is what we will be doing over the course of the next week.

TIE DYED T-SHIRTS – You might have noticed that your child brought home a tie dyed t-shirt on Friday. We would like your child to wear this shirt to field day. Here are the washing instructions:

THIRD GRADE FIELD DAY – Field Day is on Wednesday, the 24th.  We will be meeting at Stonefield Park. The address is 4529 S 4700 W, West Haven. It is about .8 of a mile from Quest Academy. We will need all parents to drop off their students at the park between 8:00–8:30.  The permission form stated that students could wear their swimsuits. However, West Haven City in not allowing us to access the water so students SHOULD NOT wear their swimsuits. As stated above under the Tie Dye T-Shirt sections, we would like all students to wear their t-shirts. This is considered a dress down day. Please do not send your child in flip flops or sandals. – FIELD DAY PERMISSION FORM
