Returning to school

I am trying to catch you before you buy your student a new backpack. Don’t waste your money on a backpack because you don’t need them in my class. Students rarely take anything home because, for the most part, our class is digital. Students may bring a small lunch bag. This doesn’t come in a backpack, only the lunch bag. If your child wants to bring a small object to play with at recess, they can bring it in a small bag. I understand that some students have phones they use after school or medical supplies, and those need to be brought in a small bag/backpacks. We don’t have a space for storing big backpacks.

Our classroom supplies fee is $25 and can be paid at the office on Tuesdays, online, or on Back to School night. I am excited to get to know you and your kiddo. We are going to have so much fun! Email me any questions you have. Please have your student practice math facts, play Reflex, and read for 20 minutes everyday before school starts.

Their Reflex account for fourth grade is now active in their Reflex account. Have them log into Reflex, and they will see Username mrsclark4, it may have 2021-22 added to it. Their password is the same as last year. It is their initials, two or three digits followed by rams. For example mine would be ac345rams. If your kiddo can’t remember theirs, please email me and I will send it over. It will help us get a head start on our learning.

To use Prodigy, Your class code is: 8476713 Have your students sign in to their Prodigy account, select update on the start screen, and enter your class code.

Mrs. Clark’s Class Supply List 2021-22

NOTICE: THE ITEMS ON THIS LIST WILL BE USED DURING THE REGULAR SCHOOL DAY.  THEY MAY BE BROUGHT FROM HOME ON A VOLUNTARY BASIS, OTHERWISE, THEY WILL BE FURNISHED BY THE SCHOOL.

I know how busy this time of year is and I want to help make it easier. I am giving the parents an option to pay a $25 donation to cover each student’s supplies. This way I can get all needed supplies purchased and labeled before students come back to school and parents have a few less things to buy during a busy time of year.

All cash donations can be paid to the Q1 Office on or before Back to School Night, or you can pay online here: ONLINE PAYMENTS marking “other” and typing Clark Supplies. I have already purchased these items for this year. If you would rather purchase them yourselves, they must meet the description I have listed below. It is more efficient for me to have all the supplies the same color and type.

Each student will still need to bring:

Headphones/earbuds-labeled and in a baggie

Pencil Box1 standard size pencil box, must be able to hold 3-4 pencils, one box of colored pencils, one glue stick, 2-3 pens, 1-2 highlighters, etc. Backpacks are not to be brought. ONLY lunch bags are needed if they are bringing lunch from home.

Lanyards are optional, I will provide them with a shirt clip.

I have already purchased the following items:

  • Colored pencils (24 pack) and additional art supplies
  • Plastic plain folders with metal paper holders and paper pockets. Blue, Yellow, Red, and Green. Folders are plain, no designs or images.
  • Spiral notebook, plain cover in the colors Blue, Yellow Red, and Green.
  • Mini 5X7 composition notebooks-black, plastic front and binders
  • Scissors/Pencils/Erasers
  • Glue
  • Copy paper
  • Box of tissues/paper towels
  • Container of anti-bacterial wipes (i.e. Clorox or Lysol)
  • Highlighter/Expo markers. Skinny black only 15-20.
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Party supplies/Birthday desk
  • Prize bin: Fun stuff that cost less then $1 each
  • Reward stickers: various variety
  • Christmas/Mother’s Day gifts/Father’s Day gifts
  • Service project card material

This FRIDAY, May 21, our class will be having a READ-A-THON. Students may bring a drink and a few treats to eat. Students may not share any of their refreshments with other students. Students will need to bring their own book to enjoy. Additionally, they may bring something to snuggle with during the day. Please make sure all of the things they are bringing fit into a backpack. All blankets need to be cleaned before coming to class. AS A REWARD: students who have filled their “Monster Punch Card” may have a FREE DRESS DOWN DAY. This will be for our class only;)
