Quest Families,
End-of-year testing begins Monday for many of our students, and we are excited for our kiddos to show what they’ve learned! Elementary students have a three-week window of testing (starting Monday) in the subject areas of math, reading, and science. Please note that students will not test every day during that time period, but three weeks allows ample time for all grades to be assessed. If you need to know specific details regarding testing dates for your child, please contact the teacher.
Jr. High students, grades 6 – 8, will take the RISE assessment during the week of May 17th. Our 9th graders will take the Aspire + ACT assessment on Thursday, May 13th and Friday, May 14th.
As we want our students to be in tip top shape for these final assessments, we will be providing free breakfast in the classroom each morning during the testing window (May 3rd – 21st for elementary students and May 13th – 21st for junior high students). Though our lunchroom staff is aware of most food allergies, please reach out to Madeline Chestnut (mchestnut@questac.org) if your child is unable to consume certain items. Also, students are more than welcome to decline breakfast. The breakfast menu will be posted on our website no later than Friday.
We appreciate the hard work of our students, educators, and families this year! Go, Rams!

Quest families, this Friday, April 16, Quest will be holding a special dollar dress down to benefit one of our own Quest families who lost their home, and most of their belongings, to a house fire. While only $1.00 is required to participate, any donation amount will be accepted to help this family restore what was lost. Thank you for all you do to make Quest the BEST!
Friday is DDD and short day!!! Additionally, it is the first day of SPING BREAK!!!

Our class has been working SUPER DUPER hard this quarter! We have SMASH several tests and mastered many MATH STANDARDS ! We are going to celebrate with “technology day.” Friday, March 26th, student may bring any technology they would like or they will be able to use our classroom iPads/Macs.
Here are the rules: ANYTHING they bring, could get broken. If it gets broken, our school will not pay to have it replaced. UNDER any circumstances -we are not liable for a broken or stolen device. ALL devices will be brought to my classroom in the morning and dropped off. Nothing is allowed outside during recess. The kids will play with them from 11:00-11:40, and for a few minutes after lunch. Given that they will play with them for about an hour, please don’t bring something that takes several minutes to set-up. Our school’s technology rules apply this day. All games must be rate “E” for everyone. There will not be wi-fi available or use of the classroom TV/Monitor. The easiest technology is our classroom technology. Again, I will still have their Chromes computers available and ipads. They will be able to use student links, Bloxels, additional apps already loaded onto the school devices.

Thanks for letting me spend the day teaching your kiddos.
We are still in need of any tweezers for science. See the previous post for the details regarding this. THANK YOU-THANK YOU!

We have a REALLY COOL science lab coming up. If you have a metal pair of tweezers you are not using, would you please send them with your kiddo as a classroom donation? They don’t need to be new, or even line up very well when you pinch them together. In the past I have used toothpicks, but every year I get a few more tweezers donated and it makes the learning experience more fun if they can pick up the object with tweezers. THANKS

We are getting closer to the end of Fourth Grade and I want to make sure all the kids know their math before moving onto Fifth Grade. The Fourth Grade team will be holding special tutoring sessions for the next few weeks. You will need to try your best to have your student attend on the day they are invited. Your student will not need to attend if you do not receive an email. I would never turn them away if they come for review.
You may or may not receive an email that looks like these:
Hi, your child is invited to attend a special after school tutoring session. Wednesday, March 24, and Thursday 25, from 3:00-3:25. During this session, your child will have the opportunity to work towards MASTERY of a math standard they need a little more practice on. For the next few weeks, the Fourth Grade team will be holding sessions everyday. You may receive more than one invitation in a week. Every session is based on a different standard. Your child will learn a different standard. Please make arrangements to have them attend. THANKS
