During PTC we talked about reading on your student’s LEXILE number. Here is a link to help you learn what books are on their level. Remember, our school’s homework policy is to have each student read for 20 minutes a night. I prefer you to read with your student anytime possible. If you need that LEXILE number again, please email me 😉
OUR CLASS has been AWESOME SAUCE the last few weeks!!! We are going to celebrate with a READ-A-THON!!!! We are going to have the Read-A-Thon on Friday, February 12th. The kids can bring a small blanket and pillow for chilling on during their reading time. They have to bring or check-out (from our library or another source) a book that is on their LEXIL level. This number is on the bottom of their iReady (Read) form I sent home for PTC. They can bring a drink and treat/snack/candy too. They may not share their food with any other student. I will not provide any food items for our read-a-thon.

CELEBRATION TIME!!!
We have work VERY HARD this week! The kids have finished several assessments and have been AWESOME while working on their work!!! Check your email for their grades. Math was sent today (ELA and Science are coming soon). Students may bring a Show-N-Tell to share as part of our celebration (Nothing alive or electronic). We have Dollar Dress Down Day FRIDAY too 😉
Forms are being sent home today. Book orders will be due Feb 8th. Please email me if you have submitted an order.
Tutoring will begin this week. Every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00-3:25.
IMPORTANT: The school will be sending you and email with a link that will let you view your student’s grades. Please keep this link for future reference. If there is a score that your child wants to work on improving, tutoring is a great way to do that 🙂 If you would rather have a Ifmath packet sent home to work on, email me.
If anyone has a box of “snack size” baggies hanging around…our class could use some 😉 Weird request, if you have a laser pointer in a drawer you are not using, our class needs some for our upcoming science lessons. Thanks
