Time and Money-Practice at home

We are always talking about time in our classroom. “What time is recess?” and “How much longer until lunch?” are BIG QUESTIONS-haha! It would be VERY helpful if the kids could practice this life skill at home. Any chance you get, please help them practice reading time using a traditional clock with arms. There are several cute videos on youtube you can watch together to help with their practice.

Our class reward system uses plastic money. Students will earn amounts that will total about $5 before being able to spend it at our class store. I pass out pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, half dollars, and one dollar bills. Students earn money by preforming various tasks throughout the day. Any chance you can take to help them recognized coins and their value would be amazing. Beginning this week, their earnings will be sent home with their weekly homework. Please help them count their coins and send their total written down the next week.

If you haven’t filled out these two forms and given permission, please take a few minutes to complete them. If you signed the SEL PERMISSION FORM at Back to School night-you don’t need to do this digitally. It was wonderful to meet you and your little human! Can’t wait to see them tomorrow 😉 ONE MORE SLEEP LEFT!!!

We are planning to distribute three short surveys to students throughout the school year to better understand how they are engaging with our social and emotional learning curriculum. Your child’s feedback is crucial in helping us improve the program and support your child’s growth. They will answer on a Likert scale ranging form never to always. Here is the LINK

Quest Parking Lot Procedure

We frequently receive questions regarding how to navigate the Quest parking lot, for example:

  • “Where do I pick up and drop off my student?”
  • “I’m hearing people talk about stacking lanes. What are they talking about?”
  • “Can I park in a stall and have my student come to me?”

Whether you are new to Quest or a Quest veteran, please take a moment and view this informative AND entertaining video about the parking lot procedures at Quest. Please share with anyone who will be driving your child to and/or from school.

Did you know that we have a carpool lane? We also have a walking list. Check your emails or contact the office for more info regarding these options.
