WEEKEND PACKET TO LOOK AT…let me tell you more…

I gave the class a math assessment today with problems from this weeks lessons. Several students didn’t quit understand it fully. To help them better, I sent home a packet from this week…Please look through the packet and see what we are working on. We will be working on this packet Monday and Tuesday in class. NO NEED to do it over the weekend. I rushed the kids out the door with it and worried that they didn’t understand that it was for their parents to look over. I have 5 kids, and I always want to see what they are doing in school. Look at the packet and see what we are working on. If you want to talk to your kids about how they are understanding the material and give them some extra help…that would be awesome sauce. 

AGAIN, nothing needs to be done in the packets. Look through them and leave them till next week. I will have these sheets as homework on Monday and Tuesday. 


You can help us earn money for our school AND turn our principals into ice cream sundaes! Only a few more days left to sell cookie dough and beef jerky. Orders are due Monday, September 10th. We need your help to reach our school goal.

Reflex to a Green Light (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday )
Read for 20 minutes every night!  It is fun!
Practice math facts (X12) It makes math easier if they have instant recall.  Find an app that they enjoy and have them on it as often as possible.

Short day Friday Sept 7th, not a dress down day.

We are selling Cookie Dough & Beef Jerky to help fund awesome things for our awesome students! Proceeds from the cookie dough will help to fund school activities like clubs, field day, field trips, library books, and more. 

Here are some things to know:
The fundraiser sale going on NOW
Orders are due back by Sept 10
Make checks to POQA
Cookie dough orders will arrive SEPT 27 at the school

Dollar dress down is Friday, Sept 1. If you are new to our school, students can wear their street clothes if they pay $1. The money is collected by their teacher at the beginning of the day. If they forget their dollar they will be sent to the office to call home. The money raised is used to purchase fun things for the school or donated to a good cause. This is optional. They may also wear a spirit shirt for free or their regular uniform too.

PICTURE DAY IS Wednesday.  ALL KIDS NEED TO COME WEARING A UNIFORM.

This weeks homework is:
Monday-Thursday read for 20 minutes each night. Please make sure this is a book that is on grade level.
Reflex Monday-Thursday to a green light. We have been using this in the classroom. Your child should know how to log on. Our Classroom code is mrsclark4, password rams

NOTE: Back to School Night is Today, August 18th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
I will be introducing myself and presenting classroom information (class disclosures, supplies, etc) every half hour. Feel free to choose the time that is most convenient for you and your student (5:30pm, 6:00pm, 6:30pm, 7:00pm). Bring the student’s things to drop off tonight too 😉

Here are a few things you can do before Tuesday:  
1)  Please get onto my blog and subscribe.  Once you subscribe, there will be a link sent to your email.  You must click on that link in the email to complete the subscription process.
 
2) Get the  BLOOMZ app on your phone and follow these instructions on the attached flyer.  I use this app for all parent communication along with my blog.

Thursday is FIELD DAY! Free dress down day and short day. Remember that the kids will be outside for a few hours. Please put sunscreen on them, send them with hats and sunglasses.  We are giving them a bottle of water for the day 😉 When we come inside, we will be play board games. Everyone bring one to share! Electronics are OK to bring! Also, cards too! 

We don’t have desk anymore, so bring a blanket to sit on and a pillow.

We will be signing yearbooks, Thursday.

FRIDAY: Last day!!! 🙁 I will miss them…
It is free dress down day and short day!  We have a school talent show from 9:45-10:30.  *Student’s performing have already been selected*
