We are into the last quarter of school-HURRY! The sun is staying up longer and the days are warming up too. The kids have grown so much this year! Both in their learning and their size. With that in mind, I need to address our school’s uniform policy. Several kids are coming to school in clothes that fit at the first of the year and don’t fit any longer. The policy states that their skirts need to be a few inches up from their knees. Their shirts need to be long enough that they stay tucked in. Clothes need to be neat (clean) along with their appearance. Also, pants need to be free of any holes. Please read through the Uniform Policy and check to see if your students is within the guidelines. Beginning Monday, I will be sending them to the office to change into “Lender” clothes or calling home. *Please make sure they have their Quest ID too.
We are having a Rock company come to our school next week (March 28). Staker Parsons is a partner of Quest Academy. They come each year and talk to 4th graders about how rocks are used in the world. Part of this activity involves students “mining” for chocolate chip using cookies for “rocks”. Please fill out the form below to allow your child to participate this day. Thanks Food Permission for Staker Parsons Rock activity
Book Reports The last quarter book reports will be a biography or autobiography. They will be due May 14. Presentations will run May 14-16. The books must be at least 120 pages (or two books combined totally about this many pages). Reports need to be something different then they have already done this year. For example, if they have given a book report with google slides, they need to present it in another form-like a poster. Be creative. More information can be found on the top of the Blog under Book Reports page.
Grades are posted. Let me know if you see something that isn’t right. I am human, I make mistakes.

OUR class has been AMAZING this last quarter!!! We have worked REALLY hard to reach mastery in several standards! To celebrate….we are having an FREE HOUR of electronics. This will be FRIDAY at the end of the day. Students will be permitted to bring an electronic to use during this time. If they need me to keep a hold of it during the day, they can check it in with me after the first bell. THEY are liable for any damage/thief that happens/occurs on this day. So, make sure they know the risk. There will be no WI-FI given for any device. They will also get to go to students links on the Chromes or Ipads, if you would rather them not bring their device. They can use BLOXELS too that day.
