Homework

Next week we are starting Homework! Your child has been “trained” on how to complete their homework. We have been working on sorts this week in school and filling out a practice homework sheet. When you start this at home, they should be experts. If they are struggling with what to do, just send me an email with any questions.

They should be spending 20 minutes each night on homework. In addition, they should read 20 minutes every night!!

Have a great LONG weekend!!

The first week of school/Letters Home!

The first week of school was a success! Your child wrote a letter home telling you all about their first week of school. This was written in the back of their “poetry/letters home” notebook, and sent home for the weekend. Please read what they have written, and write a short response to their letter. They MUST return this on Monday. If they have a written response from you, they will receive a sticker on the cover of their book. This will be a weekly thing. Hopefully, by the end of the year their notebook with be COVERED in stickers!!

In the front part of this book you will see their Poetry and drawing each week. Sit with your child and let them read their new poems to you each weekend. This is a fun way to listen to your exceptional student read! Continue to read each night! We will officially start homework September 3!

I am so excited to be their teacher.  As always, please contact me with your questions/concerns.  Thank you for your support and your generous contribution of school supplies.
