Important:  May 6th (Mon.) through May 10th (Fri.), we will not be having regularly scheduled class.  Instead, we will be doing end of year testing. We will be administering the two main State mandated tests, so it is extremely important that your child comes rested and ready to work.  I need ALL students to show up to be tested.  I have created a sign up account in Sign Up Genius.  As soon as possible, please schedule a time that works best for you to bring your student into our classroom for testing.

We are excited for our next field trip!
We are going to be visiting the SeaQuest Aquarium on Friday April 12th. 
All AM and PM Kindergarteners will be meeting in the classroom at 8:30 am and we will be returning to the school at 12:00 pm. 
I do need some parent volunteers. Due to the space, SeaQuest has asked us to limit our parent help to 5 parent volunteers per class. I need 5 parents from AM and 5 parents from PM to help us out. I will be taking the first who fill out the form below.

*Friday April 12th
*AM and PM meet in classroom at 8:30 am. 
*Bus leaves at 8:45 am and will return at 12:00 pm
*Please plan accordingly to have your kindergarteners picked up on time at 12:00 pm.
*Mrs. Sampson’s class will be wearing WHITE shirts (Quest uniform please)
*Please make sure your student eats breakfast because there will not be a lunch.
*Please DO NOT send your student with $ money for the gift shop.

Due to scheduling conflicts the Q and U wedding that was planned for Thursday will be cancelled. We will not be dressing up that day. Please remind kids to wear their school uniforms. So sorry for the changes.

HAPPY DR. SEUSS DAY!!
To celebrate students may choose one, two or all 3 of the below activities: 

1) Show everyone a Thing or two. Grab a friend and dress as Thing 1 and Thing 2.
2) Green eggs and ham anyone? Wear a green shirt, pants, socks or accessories to school. 
3) How do those Who’s do it? Crazy Who Hair

Please remember all clothing must still meet the dress code policy, and any student who chooses not to participate will wear their school uniform.

BOTH AM and PM classes are leaving from the school at 8:30 am. Please make sure to have your student to school on time so they don’t miss us getting on the bus. Please make sure your student wears a BLUE shirt tomorrow! This will help us know which student belongs to which class.
If you are a parent chaperone for this field trip please come to my classroom in the morning to get your assigned groups. There are 6 Kindergarten classes going, so you will need to drive your own car behind the bus. 
We will be arriving back at the school around 12:00 pm. Please be at the school ready to pick up your student because this is the time they will be excused to go home.

February 14th, we will be having our class Valentine’s Day party. Children are welcome to bring a valentine for their fellow classmates, but please no treats are allowed.  We have 22 students in the AM class and 19 in the PM Class (please do not write who the valentine is for on the card, this makes passing out valentines very difficult).  Also, the children are welcome to bring a decorated valentines box to hold their valentines in.  This is purely optional; please do not feel like you have to create a box.  I will be providing a bag for students who do not bring a box. If you have any further questions please feel free to email me at asampson@questac.org
