Baggie Books

Image result for cartoon of a book

Hello all! We have started to send home baggie books, and we have already had some come back ruined, colored on, or things spilled on them. We explained to the kiddos that these books are to be treated just like a library book. Please help us at home to keep these as nice as possible.

We will be pulling the kids to read their books with Ms Carrie on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. So if you are passing those off at home one of those days will be when we check them at school. Keep reading with your kiddos, and remember to let them read their book and try not to give them too much help. If they are stuck on a word, persuade them to sound it out.

Thank you for all that you do. Let me know if you have any questions.

Folders and Baggie Books

Hello Parents!! We have recently started sending home baggie books to some of our kiddos. Please make sure that you are practicing these books with them every night. In order to pass it off and get the next book they should be able to read the book by themselves.

Also, Ms. Carrie and I tell them that because they are kindergarteners now it is their responsibility to bring their baggie and their folder to school everyday. We just ask that you are helping them and reminding them to bring these items back everyday. We have a lot of letters starting to get lost and because we are starting to send home books we do not want those getting lost.

Thank you for all that you do.

PLEASE  RETURN IT TO SCHOOL BY WEDNESDAY NOV. 7TH. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT AND HELP. YOU CAN GOOGLE “TURKEY IN DISGUISE” AND LOOK AT SOME PRETTY CUTE IDEAS.

Practice Library Book

Our wonderful Librarian has sent home a practice library book with our kindergarteners. They are to take care of it as if it is a real library book. They can do the activities in the book but please help them keep it in a safe place and not bend or tear it. It is due back on Monday November 5th. I believe she is planning on letting those that bring this practice library book back on time choose a real library book to check out.
Thanks so much for helping teach our kiddos how to treat borrowed books.
