Homework April 6-10

We are coming up on elapsed time in Math so we are going to practice while we are reading about sleep patterns in health so for part of homework this week please write down your bedtime, the time you wake up and find how many hours you sleep per night. We were reading today about how much sleep a six to 13 year old needs and what things could affect your ability to have your learning “stick” while at school. Please help your kids by tracking their sleep for the next four nights. We will also have our normal homework this week.

Also, the kids were given one free day of homework as their birthday present as we had a class wide birthday party just before Spring Break but I forgot to post it to the blog. They may take one day off from doing Math and Spelling and just write in their spelling notebook free day for birthday and I will give them credit for that day! They still have to read 20 minutes for that day however.

About Smedley

I am so excited to be joining Quest Academy and the 4th grade team! I have been teaching for 6 years and love my job! I earned my Bachelors in Elementary Education and Special Education from Weber State in 2008 and my Masters in Learning and Technology from WGU in 2012! I love teaching all subjects but Math is my favorite! I have 3 awesome kids (Macey 8, Mack 6 and Laker 4) and have been married to my amazing husband, Shaun, for 11 years! In my free time I love to travel, blog, and watch sports. We are die hard Utes and Lakers fans! We also love all things Disney and love to visit Disneyland as often as possible!
