Field Trip on Tuesday!
I have all the permission slips and have ordered the lunches that were indicated. The following students ordered school lunch and I will have them available for pick up at the Frontrunner Station:

Students need to wear RED shirts.
Students need to be at the Frontrunner Station by 8:25am. The Frontrunner leaves at 8:45 and we need to have the students in their groups and ready before then. Please do not show up late, it is very important that they are on time.
We will arrive back at the Roy Frontrunner station at 2:15pm. Please be on time picking up your students. Teachers have additional responsibilities that they need to get to. You may pick them up curbside or walk up to get them. Please let the teacher know when you are getting your child.
Students will be told which group they are in Monday afternoon. They need to stay with their groups at all times.
Our chaperones need to be there on time. You will need to pack yourself a lunch. Students will be required to carry their own lunches. However, if you would like to bring a bag or backpack to carry them for your group, you are welcome to do that. Lunches will be eaten during the Imax Movie. Students need to clean up after themselves.
All lunches need to be completely disposable. This means that when they are finished eating, what is left is being thrown away. They need to be lunches that do not require refrigeration or microwave as those will not be available. Plastic water bottles, grocery sacks, and ziploc baggies are what are usually used as containers. Please also label the student’s lunch. Once the student is done eating, they should not have anything else to carry. Please follow these instructions.
Please listen to instructions and remember that we are representing our school. If we can follow the rules, everyone will have an enjoyable time. Please email me with any questions. And thank you in advance to all of our parent helpers. We could not make this happen without you!

Moon and Stars Tracker
The Moon and Stars Tracker that was sent home yesterday is due Monday, May 13th and should be kept in their homework folder. Please make sure it is in their folder and kept in their backpack. There will be times that we reference it during class.

Friday Dollar Dress Down
We are so excited to announce
that this Friday we will be having a dollar dress down day. This is a very special dress down day for Mrs. McBride. The money from this dress down will go directly to a project that her and her son are working on. In July, they will be going to Fiji on a service trip to help families in the village of Narikoso. This village was directly hit by Cyclone Winston and is still recovering over two years later. They will be helping in rebuilding structures as well as helping the villagers with business development, personal hygiene, 
sustainability, and English lessons. If you would like to donate money you can bring money for the dress down day. Thank you so much for your help and support for this exciting project.

Field Trip
Parents,
I still need permission slips for 7 more students to be able to attend our field trip. Please get those turned into me as soon as possible.
Here are our 7 paid chaperones for the field trip:
Keiana’s parent
Jocelyn’s parent
Olivia’s parent
Cayden’s parent
Zander’s parent
Cleo’s parent
Addison’s parent
(younger siblings are not permitted on our field trips).
For other parents who still wish to attend, you will be responsible for paying for your train ticket and admission to the planetarium. You may want to call ahead to see if there will be availability for you in the movie. The movie we are seeing is Northrop Grumman at 11:00 in the IMAX. If there is no available space for you, you will need to be prepared to do something else during that time.
The chaperones listed above will be responsible for a small group of students. For this reason, if you plan to attend as an additional parent and do not wish to stay with the group. Please email me to let me know. I will probably have you sign out your student that day. Please get back to me by next Wednesday. I will be making the groups and getting all of our information put together with my team.
