Math Homework tonight!

We did most of it today and we set up both of the problems that I would like for them to complete.  Numbers 6 and 7 need to be completed.  This is due tomorrow.  It should only take them a few minutes.
Thanks for all you do,

Season Presentations on Wednesday!

Hello!
Students were grouped together today to create a presentation of one of the four seasons.  They worked together to produce a slide representing the season and will be presenting to the class.  To do this, they will be coming up with a plan on Tuesday.  Students will need to bring items that they would wear during that season on Wednesday.  They will coordinate who will bring what.  They will come home on Tuesday knowing what they need to bring for the following day.  If you have any questions, please email me.

This week….

This week we are comparing lengths in math.  Math homework will only come home if we are unable to finish it in class.  It is due the following day.  This can be a tricky concept.  So keep an eye on any homework that comes home to see how they are doing.
In ELA we are working on mastering contractions, irregular plural nouns, and finishing up our narratives.  We have worked on contractions before.  Students will have another chance to show mastery and students who were already proficient should be able to do this again to show true mastery.  Narratives are being made into google slides presentations complete with their own illustrations.  I will try to share those with you when they are complete.  They have enjoyed putting these together.
We have had a lot of sickness going around.  We’ve had students with influenza and also with strep.  If your child is fevering,  sneezing or coughing uncontrollably, or looking run down, please allow them to stay home and rest.  We are doing everything on our end to keep everyone healthy as well.  My hope is that there is an end in sight soon.
Thanks for all you do,
Mrs. Zimm
