Our class store is in need of items.  If any of you are willing to donate, you may bring them in or send them with your student.  Thanks!

We did a fun experiment today in class.  If your child would like to show off their skills for you, they will need:
Salt
Pepper
Plate
A plastic spoon
A piece of wool or clothing

I won’t tell you the secret, you’ll have to find out from your amazing little scientist!  Have fun!

If you were not at Quest last year, then you may be unaware of our policy in regards to handing out candy to classmates.  It is against our policy to give anything edible to other students.  Instead, bouncy balls, pencils, erasers, or other small items can be handed out.  Even a paper valentine is acceptable.  Please do not send your student to school with candy.  It will need to be confiscated and picked up by the parent.

There will be no math homework this week.  We have just started a chapter on data and graphs.  If there is something I feel we need some extra practice on, I will make sure we have it as homework next week.

We are always willing to take donations for our class store.  Stickers, stamps, small toys, erasers and other fun items are great for the class store.  If you are willing to donate, you can bring the items in yourself or send them with your child. 

We appreciate everything you, as parents, do for our class.  We have amazing volunteers that work with the students in the mornings, run the class store, plan and prepare for parties, and help out from home.  As parents, you also support your children from home by helping them to get their homework done and study for upcoming tests.  Students are more successful when the parents are involved and I would like to thank you for all you do.  The kiddos are amazing and I absolutely love this class!

We will be making valentine bags as a class.  Students will not need to bring a box in for their valentines.  Our party will be on Wednesday, February 14th.
There are 25 students in the class.  Some have asked for names to put on the valentines.  Here is a list of first names for each kiddo in our class:

The photography company that does our yearbook and school pictures has sent a photo valentines package home with each student.  If you wish to purchase the package, details are inside.  The package is $10.  If you do not wish to purchase this, please send it back to school with your student so that I can return it for you.
Also, I would like to thank the parents that nominated me for teacher of the week.  That was a fun surprise today!  I really love what I get to do each and every day.  Thank you for allowing me to do what I love. And thank you for the support!

Boys and Girls Club is doing a Jr Lego League club on Fridays from 4:15 to 5:30pm.  The club was first made available to Boys and Girls Club members.  There are now only 4 spots available.  If you are interested in bringing your child, please contact the office for more information.
